MUSIC VIDEO: REMINGTON PETTYGROVE
ideafarm shot and edited the recording session of “The Juice,” an original song featured in our festival-winning independent short CURTAINS, to serve as the end-credits sequence for the streaming version of the film.
The video showcases singer/songwriter Remington Pettygrove performing his song alongside Joe Shadid (guitar, bass and background vocals) and Rob André (percussion and drums) at Audiotree Studios. Located in Chicago’s Wicker Park, Audiotree is an acclaimed innovative label that records and publishes live music sessions of independent musicians.
Pettygrove wrote the track specifically for CURTAINS, with lyrics that channel the “all-in” mindset of the film's main character, an avant-garde theatre director who refuses to compromise his artistic principles, even if that artistic purity costs him everything.
After premiering at the Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival, CURTAINS won multiple Best Comedy, Best Actor and Best Writing awards and nominations on the film festival circuit. It is now available for streaming by the public, distributed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
